Rhythmic Poetry for Everyone
There is a time for everything, and a poem for every activity under the sun. A time to weep and a time to be sad, a time to laugh and a time to get mad. This book has a bit of everything, even the bazaar, so enjoy every rhyme, like I have - so far!
There’s an ocean of emotion when it comes to writing rhyme.
It takes a bit of patience to flow each word in time.
The rhythm is important, the bounce and flow is most.
You never know what feelings will wash up on the coast.
This book has many levels; pains and grief and love,
Laughter, song and living – inspiration from above.
So as you read each poem, know my soul went into each.
My prayer is that my feelings – to your heart, will reach.
It’s early Monday morning and I’m up before the dawn,
A story on my mind, gotta type but then I yawn.
Coffee percolating, sleep wiped from my eyes,
I settle down to start before the neighbors rooster cries.
I’ll listen to the story playing loudly in my head,
And transcribe each scene, exactly as they said.
I’ll write the heroes’ messages, every whisper, scream and peep.
Until the story’s finished, a hundred pages ’till I sleep.
My world is an adventure,
The weather changes fast.
Lightning turns to Sunshine,
The future turns to past.
Writing is but words,
Deciding how they’ll fall.
I’m a God upon my planet,
And I dictate to them all.
My characters like humans,
They choose whom they will be.
They tell me of their plans,
I simply write to see.
Since I’m the final edit,
I can change their life quite quick,
And seeing how they’ll turn out,
Is a rewarding writers trick.
